The scope of work for this project consisted of demolishing a 2-story steel framed, concrete-steel composite floor structure at the National Fire Research Laboratory at NIST. Also included in the work was an engineering survey. The concrete floor, metal decking, and structural steel beams were disposed of, while the columns were kept intact and undamaged for future use. Ritz developed a Demolition Plan in accordance with OSHA and USACE EM-385-1-1 requirements. In addition, we created an OSHA compliant Safety Plan, as well as a Dust Control Plan to minimize nuisances to employees on campus. Ritz self-performed 100% of the project management and 100% of the physical work on this job.
