“This project has presented a significant number of challenges and changes due to several differing site conditions-underground and interior to homes. There were also many design errors in the design documents. Ritz consistently offered options to resolve issues in a cost effective and schedule effective manner. On top of differing site conditions and design errors, Ritz tackled other issues outside their control with professionalism and effective management. Other issues have included a water main break on site (not caused by Ritz) and installation of a gas main and laterals to the other homes that required other Government contractors to perform work. Ritz handled the coordination professionally, allowing other Government contracts within their area to proceed as necessary. Ritz self performed several scopes work and also employed strong subcontractors for the remaining scopes of work. This included specialization in historic preservation of the exterior masonry and woodwork. It has been a pleasure to work with Ritz.”
