Ritz Construction, Inc. (Ritz) is a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) construction firm located in Mount Airy, Maryland. We have provided quality construction services for over two decades in the MD, VA, DC and PA market, successfully completing many projects in both the private and public sector. Our company is a locally based, family-owned and operated team of professionals, with over 50 employees and growing. We take pride in delivering high caliber projects completed safely, promptly, and under budget. We develop lasting relationships with our clients based on trust and mutual respect.

Ritz was founded by company Vice President Nicholas (Nick) Ritzer in 2000. He launched the firm as a commercial carpentry contractor and the business rapidly evolved into a general contractor.

In 2007, Lien Cu-Ritzer joined the company with a background in Marketing and Industry Development. In 2013, she assumed her role as President of Ritz by providing all strategic planning, account management, and business development.

In 2008, the company began its first government project. The company has further expanded into the government market and works on several military bases as well as for several federal agencies.

In 2017, Kirk Garvin joined the company as a Superintendent, with over twenty-five years of construction experience. He has grown with the company and worked his way up to General Superintendent and is now Vice President of Operations.

In 2025, Ritz proudly graduated early from the SBA 8(a) Program after exceeding growth milestones. To extend that legacy, we have established various joint venture partnerships covering 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran, and Alaska Native Corporation (ANC).
