Our History

Ritz Construction Inc. has provided quality construction services for over 2 decades in the MD-VA-DC market, successfully completing many projects in both the private and public sector. Our company is a locally based, family-owned and operated team of professionals, with over 40 current full time employees and growing. We take pride in delivering high caliber projects completed safely, promptly, and under budget. We develop lasting relationships with our clients based on trust and mutual respect.

Ritz Construction Inc. was founded by company Vice President Nicholas (Nick) Ritzer in 2000. He launched the firm as a carpentry contractor: framing houses and additions. It rapidly evolved into a commercial framing contractor: building banks, restaurants, office spaces and clubhouses.

In 2007, Lien Cu-Ritzer joined the company with a background in Marketing and Industry Development. In 2013, she assumed her role as President of Ritz Construction by providing all strategic planning, account management, and business development.

In the fall of 2008, the company began its first government project: building military housing at US Army Base, Fort George G. Meade. Currently, the company has further expanded into the government market and works on several military bases as well as for several federal agencies.

The company continues to build on our core values, including a commitment to safety, meticulousness, and customer satisfaction.

Lien-Cu Ritzer

President & Director of Business Development​

Lien has more than 25 years of experience in managing institutional divisions, as well as forming and growing small businesses. She has a proven record of controlling costs, increasing revenue and improving customer service and communications.

Lien joined Ritz Construction in 2007 and assumed management of the company in 2013. Under her leadership Ritz Construction has expanded our capacity to government projects while maintaining our company’s commitment to quality, and on-time builds. Lien takes tremendous pride in serving Federal Government clients and helping them meet their mission.

Nicholas Ritzer

Vice-President & Director of Operations

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology, Nick is also a master carpenter who has worked in construction most of his life. Free time in high school and college was spent on the job, learning from experienced builders.

He launched his professional career working with a local general contractor in the DC area as a Project Manager, working on historic, commercial base building and interior projects. He left in 2000 to found Ritz Construction Inc. As always, Nick continues to hone his skills as field manager, engineer and carpenter, as he leads field operations and assists with estimating and project management.
